Civil Celebrant

Any wedding ceremony should be conducted in a respectful and professional manner. I aim to do this at every ceremony I present.  I take pride in supporting the Bride and Groom to create their own special day.  If a couple come to me with strong ideas of what they want in the way of their ceremony, then I guide and support them to that end.  If however, the couple don’t quite know what they would like, I present then with numerous options and a variety of ideas.  I have a wide range of poems, readings, vows and music for them to choose from.  If they would like help, in writing their individual vows to each other (in secret of course!) I can suggest and help with this.

Wedding planning

A commitment ceremony can be held like a wedding ceremony in many respects. Exchange of rings, reading of vows by the couple to each other (usually very emotional). We can have a lighting of candles ceremony, releasing of doves or butterflies and many more rituals.  The white dove throughout history, has been a symbol of love, peace, purity, faithfulness and prosperity.

Commitment Ceremonies

Naming Day Ceremonies are a wonderful and loving way to “introduce” your new born to family, loved ones and friends.  I like to construct a blessing for the baby where I introduce the chosen name.  Sometimes, I will do a research about the names origin or family heritage.

The mother and father are in the ceremony at all times and anyone special to them they would like to include. Mum and Dad often choose a “parental vow” which I can help them with or choose their own.  A pair of Godparents are also chosen by the parents if they wish.  Godparents will also take vows or have a reading to their responsibility for the child.  There are many different ways to hold this wonderful day which I can suggest to the parents.

Many couples are choosing to do this now.  We can include reaffirmation of original wedding vows.

If possible, some of the original Wedding Party can take part.  It is such a fun ceremony, where old friends and relations come along to celebrate the love and enduring commitment the couple have had for each other.  Children are often included in this ceremony which is delightful for their parents.

The couple may wish to exchange new rings for the occasion. Playing the couples favourite songs and dancing the night away.  It is a happy a love filled ceremony.
